November is National Adopt a Senior Pet Month. Savethesaveable.com, an initiative of No Kill Pima County, will shine a light on the seniors at Pima Animal Care Center all month long. Seniors are the best: they normally require less training; have grown to their full size; have lived in a home; and have a zest for life and plenty of love to give. Saveable? Yes!
Join us Sunday November 12 from 3 to 5 pm at Sentinel Peak Brewing Co (4746 E. Grant Road) for Sips for Seniors. One dollar from every pint of beer sold will be donated to sponsor adoptions of mature dogs (age 7+) and mature cats (age 9+) at Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) . Mature dogs will also be available for adoption on the patio from 3 to 5pm.
SIPS FOR SENIORS FUNDRAISER AT SENTINEL PEAK BREWING CO.
Senior pets are waiting for their second act.
More ways you can help:
A TucsonTail.com, the pet blog of Southern Arizona, donated $500 to sponsor five adoptable mature pets at PACC. One hundred dollars per pet will be given to the adopter’s veterinarian. Individuals and businesses are encouraged to contribute and match funds so more than five seniors can be sponsored. To make a donation, designate savethesaveable: https://www.nokillpimacounty.org/donate/
Another opportunity to meet an adoptable senior will be Sunday November 19th, 10am to 12 on the Patio of The Eclectic Cafe (7053 E. Tanque Verde).
And you can always head on down to PACC at 4000 N. Silverbell and meet more, like Milo and June:
You would never know Milo is an 8 year old because he still has a lot of spunk in him. Great fun dog!

And June is 9 years old, at the shelter for a second time!
He needs medical consult regarding a problem with one eye.
