CONFETTI!
One of the 15 ‘mature’ dogs helped in August with funding from
the Grey Muzzle Organization.
Confetti was adopted 5 years ago when she was between 2 and 4 years old. Her family was told she had been a bait dog before she was rescued. Confetti adjusted so well she became a ‘nanny dog’ for their now 4 year old son. She also “helped raise plenty of foster kittens” and has been a ‘loyal protector’ of the family. Confetti has two other adopted siblings who love her as well!
The family noticed Confetti kept licking one spot and when they took her to a veterinarian a biopsy was done and they discovered a life-threatening mast cell tumor, which would require surgery. They scheduled an evaluation with a low cost surgical unit and learned they could not cover the entire cost. Thanks to The Gray Muzzle Organization, No Kill Pima County was able to offer the balance. Their reaction: “You guys are amazing, I’ve called everywhere to get help.”
Confetti had surgery on August 25th and the family is hopeful the tumor will not return. Her family and 14 others, just in August, are VERY grateful to NKPC and GMO!
