The Animal League of Green Valley with ASAVET Charities  / 8am Check-In / $65 Co-pay / 1600 W Duval Mine Rd. / No appointments, first come first serve up to 20-25 surgeries for the day / THIS IS NOT A VACCINE CLINIC, vaccines are only available for those having surgery / E-collars (cones) required on all dogs $15. If you have one, you must bring with you for morning check-in so we can check size is appropriate. / Litters under 5 months – $10/per animal (if Mom is spayed ($65) at same time) / Annual Limit 3 Pets Per Household / Vaccines optional (with surgery): DAPP/PRC and Rabies included with surgery / No food after 12AM (the morning of surgery), Pets under 5mo of age do not need fasted / All dogs must be on a leash or in a pet carrier / All cats must be in a pet carrier
All pets must be a minimum of 2 months old and weigh 2 pounds / ONE PERSON PER ANIMAL WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING. WHEN MOBILE ARRIVES PLEASE WAIT TO RECEIVE PAPERWORK AND RETURN TO YOUR VEHICLE. STAY IN VEHICLE WITH A/C RUNNING (if hot), OR HEAT (if cold) UNTIL WE HAVE CALLED OUT YOUR NUMBER. / Questions call:  (520) 625-3170

Spay and Neuter

Clinics may offer additional services such as vaccination, microchipping, nail trims, testing (heartworm, FIV/felv) and even dental cleanings. Some are full service clinics.

Some clinics have additional charges  when pet  “in heat” or  pregnant, additional pain medication, protective e-collars, undescended testicles etc.

Check their websites or call for their hours of operation and a list of services and fees. And to aske about age/weight requirements and other pertinent information.

Base rates range from $35-75 per male cat, $62-95 per female cat, $85 -$150 for male dogs and $95-$265 for female dogs. Dogs in particular will depend on size.

    Their spay/neuter rates are slightly higher, especially for larger dogs, but they offer full service care and serve the East side. Vaccines are mandatory here. If you can not show proof of current vaccines they will require them at the time of surgery.
  • Humane Society of Southern Arizona (HSSA) – 635 W. Roger Rd – (520) 881-0321 – 
    Vaccines are mandatory here. If you can not show proof of current vaccines they will require them at the time of surgery. Prices available on website.
  • Santa Cruz Veterinary Clinic – 5408 S. 12th Ave. (at Nebraska) (520) 889-9643 –
    This clinic offers full service care. Prices available on website.
  • Dr. Kelly’s Mobile Vet– (520) 636-7387 – This mobile vet does not make house calls. They set up at various locations around town every couple days. Call to make an appointment or inquire about other services. Prices available on website. Now also has a clinic at 8860 E. Broadway (at Camino Seco). Same phone number or book online.
  • Pima JTED  450 E. Wetmore (520) 209-1963. Call to make an appt. Dates, forms and prices are on the website.

Financial Assistance to receive free or reduced cost co-pay

PETFIX through AWASA
9/12/24 PROGRAM ON HOLD TIL FURTHER NOTICE due to backlog of waiting cases.

Complete an application and you will hear back within 48 hours regarding your co-pay and which clinic to call to schedule your appointment. This AWASA certificate is valid for 60 days. Available to residents of the Pima County, excluding the towns of Marana and Sahuarita. Pets must be at least 2 months old and weigh at least 3 pounds. Ask the clinic for preop feeding instructions (AWASA is not the clinic). All dogs must be on a leash or in a carrier and cats must be in carriers.

Dr. Kelly’s

Dr. Kelly’s is offering financial assistance for spay/neuter services to pet owners in Tucson who rely on government assistance.  Text or call to determine eligibility and schedule an appointment. Additional charges may apply to cover surgery extras. (520) 636-7387

The Animal League of Green Valley

A non-profit No Kill shelter with funding to offer low cost or free spay/neuter for the following areas: Green Valley, Amado, Arivaca, Vail, Corono de Tucson, ‘dogpatch’  and South Tucson.  Surgeries are performed by two clinics in the area, For more information call James at (520) 625-3785
